It’s a good thing Christ was born in Bethlehem more than two thousand years ago. Had he been born in Bethlehem in 2024, the IDF would have viciously bombed the barn and killed both he and his parents, along with all of the livestock, the visiting shepherds, and the Magi from afar.

Merry Christmas.

If you plant Jesus in any historical/political context, he still gets executed by the state by 33, because his teaching that every human life is of equal value worthy of love and care in equal measure is a direct threat to every ideology and system of supremacy and financial greed and militant domination.

Rome, Israel, the U.S., the British Empire—he’s executed by them all, because he opposes their supremacy, their love of money, and their belief that might makes right.
