PlayStation Germany, Switzerland and Austria are running an Advent Calendar 2024 competition where users in those countries can earn credits and win prizes - more info here.

These icons, the pizza one in particular, look AI generated. If so, that's a big nono, Sony.

Didn't realize this sub was part of the AI crowd (which feels insane to me if you like games and art created by humans). It's a shame you're being downvoted

I guess people assume any criticism of AI is backwards thinking. Look, I have a GPT subscription, it's incredibly useful for my work and personal life. But I don't want AI to be making art that I purchase. It's one thing to use my GPT subscription to make, say, a portrait of a DnD character, because 1. I'm not selling that to anyone and 2. I don't have money to buy it from an artist. But Sony has more than enough money to buy good artwork from real artists. No matter how realistic AI images become, it will not change the fact that there is no human behind it, and that makes it less interesting to me. Sure, you can use it for posters on walls for video game scenery for example, but not for the game artwork for example.
