Two bad things happened, probably. First, you tried too late your last two challenge permission, so you were demoted to the no rank category (even if you already did one match) so you were destined to face other no rank opponents, meaning less points per winned match. Second, I think the opponents you choose were, no only no rank opponents, but also weak ones. So, even less points per match. Unfortunately, right now you are so far behind the race that you need to gem more if you wanna catch up.
