(JP) I may be dumb, but whatever happened to the FN’s? Have they just been completely phased out of existence because I can’t find them. I like to farm some of the older characters so I can see how far the game has evolved, but I can’t do that if I don’t know where my boy Captain Kuro’s FN went

They're largely gone, yes. You can get a few from the rookie recruitment quests.
