You get tons of gems for first time clears of story and event quests? I’m a bit confused.

Not every individual story quest has a gem, but every like 3 to 5 individual quest of the story will give you one, plus every island excluding like 5 of the first 8 will give you a bonus 5 or 10 gems for clearing the island. Then there are also challenge quests being added that give additional 3 gems, currently up to like Skypeia.

Then events typically give you a gem once you’ve cleared every difficulty of the event, sometimes also giving one for the first difficulty if you have to complete one before seeing the rest. Power up quests don’t tend to have gem rewards.

FTP players can make 200-300 gems a month, not including the massive one time bonuses from Rookie Chopperman missions and story, once they are able to beat the monthly Garp challenges and get the gems from those chopperman missions.

As a first time reward you can get 50 gems for beating the Rookie Chopperman missions. There are currently 401 gems you can earn from completing story mode.

I played naruto blazing, bleach brave souls, dokkan battle, db legends and normally all contents ( stories / events / powers up quests....) give me game currency as 1st time reward, but in optc I see that for stories some islands dont have gem as 1st time rewards, booster / evolver quests neither, so I thought it would be hard to farm gem quickly as ftp player. But 401 gems for story mode seems good comparing to others gacha games, maybe I should do it first.

Btw do u know what is the best way to upgrade special level of 3 units to 6 to complete rockie mission? Like the easiest stages to get free units quickly to feed dupes and upgrade special level?

There are units in the extra isle that are guaranteed drops, farm them for special level. Most optc gems come in batches rather than first clears, like if you clear all difficulties or clear something with a specific character in your team you get 5 gems rather than 3 for each single difficulty completion (though most things do give 1 gem for completing each difficulty).

The best quest to quickly level up a special for a unit is probably Golden Pound Usopp. In the power up tab go to the class based rookie recruitment quests (Luffy and Cavendish in the thumbnail), then choose the 4th option and then pick Usopp.
