Is it worth buying skulls from rayshop? If not, what should I use may ray points on? I have a lot of points (100000 +) after the recent sugo..

Only buy skulls:

  • if you need them right away
  • cannot comfortly clear an 8* or higher 60 stamina raid + ambush (skulls might drop on stage 4 of the ambush)

In the past skulls sometimes were discounted to 7.500 each.

Other than that, depending on your box and ship collection, you might want to get recruit tickets (3k, 30k, 50k) and some of the ships and the 100 atk cc.

In my opinion buying skulls is not terrible. Consider that: - skulls have a very very low drop rate (don't have the figures but according to my experience probably less than 5%) - you obtain only one colour skull once it drops (so for a given color drop rate falls to 1%) - 6+ units often requires 2-3 skulls to superevolve

Putting altogether, you will easily reach a point in which you need to farm only raids for an entire week to obtain the skulls you need and chances are you are not getting one at all (still missing a blu skulls since January and hard-farming raids)

/u/MKTPR I think my answer is relevant for you as well.

I my experience the drop rate is not that bad. It is closer to 20% I would say. Maybe 10%, but 5% is too low for sure). Yes, there is still a lot of farming to be done, but this is a grindy game after all. If they were available, would you spend RP for a random farmable character whose stage you can't beat or would you rather get a chance at an OP LRR that will make some other content super easy that you wouldn't be able to get otherwise? Even if the LRR you get is not OP, it is still most likely new.

Like I said in my answer, if you seem to get enough RP per month to buy all the LRR tickets, then sure go ahead, but personally as a F2P player I am not getting enough points by far.

I would say that it is not worth it. You can farm them in ambushes. Use your ray points for the LRR ticket. There are 2 of them available this month for 30k each. If you are a completionist like me you might want to buy all the ships and the characters (there are no characters available this month though) first.

If you think you are confident that you can generate at least 30k RP per month (to buy the LRR tickets that should refresh every month, only this month seems to be special with 2 tickets available instead of one) you can use extra points for skulls or CC.

Piggybacking here, as I was wondering about the bazaar/shop characters. Is there some predictable cycle for when they will return? And especially how much they will cost? E.g., do they ever go on sale? I didn't get any of Wild Luffy/the shark one/Paper Umbrella Zoro because I thought it might be better to wait for a sale. I'm not in a rush to get them, but if the price never drops…

I have never seen a sale for them (though I go on frequent hiatuses). The wild monster trio are 7500, some others are cheaper like 3000 or less (I don't remember exactly, but I know there are some really bad although very cheap ones, less than 1000 I think).

I don't think there is a cycle for them. Maybe there might be a higher chance of some of them coming back for anniversary events, although that is just a guess.

Perfect. Keeps things simple. I'll just buy them when they pop up next, assuming I have the TP.
