New player (about two/three weeks into playing), this upcoming Treasure Map event will be my first TM. What is the event like/what do I need to do to prepare? I was lucky enough to pull the supertype BB, Katakuri, Luffy, and the PVP legend akainu during this anniversary sugo fest and I think they have something to do with the new TM. Thank you! :)

Yeah, they'll all be point boosters. For your first TM you'll be in East Blue league and it'll be extremely easy. You just have to build one team (slap your highest point boosters on it, use Luffy as captain and choose a high point booster as friend.. here's an awesome tool to do that.. it'll be updated for the next TM once we know the boosters.

You'll learn everything else you need to know along the way.

it's a long story but but there is an old (like very old) video explaining TM for beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwbJh1_O8R4 The key ideas are still the same. Once you got the basic idea, usually 1/2 days before the actual event starts, you can find team building tips on Youtube or this forum or nakama network. If you pulled the new legends then this TM should be easy for you, especially you will be in the East Blue league first time round. So enjoy and don't miss it because TM is one of the most rewarding game modes (though grindy but it is worth it especially if you are new)

I will add that compared to how it was in the beginning, now in the East Blue you no longer need to make multiple teams, but just one. So in grand line and new world leagues there is a restriction that if you used a character in a fight, you can't use him again for the duration of that specific TM run (there are 4 mini boss fights and then the boss fight, 5 different quest and there is also the invasion boss, but that one doesn't restrict your characters).

But now in the East Blue there is no such restriction. You can blast your way through just using a single team. You could also probably just auto and not even care about what the enemy does even if you do like 70 runs (which I did last TM when I was in the East Blue)
