For 5* difficulties (which are better 100% IMO even if you own all the new batch)

(Usopp -> Snakeman for wave clear on miniboss, then all specials last stage)

(wave clear with Snakeman stage 5, then use all specials stage 6)

Bosses have about 3-4 mil HP so you're fine.

What rewards do you get and can you complete with any characters?

You get a lot of LB materials, a ton of gems (200 I think), tomes, etc. Yes, you can complete it with any characters, but if you use certain characters, you will collect the maps/pieces faster, and complete the challenge faster. I am using these teams for Part 1 and 2 provided by r/BaronBones.

it's very F2P friendly. Just make sure you have max sockets (especially bind).

To the both of you: you don't get nearly this many gems. There are a total of 38 gems you can get from personal rewards (more from community rewards, but we don't yet know how many and you don't need to do anything to get those)

Also the amount of LB materials isn't a lot. There are a few, but you get way more from grinding TM (which is coming in a few days)

The most important thing is that if you get 100 map pieces in each you will get 2 new F2P units (Cavendish for part 1, Sakazuki for part 2) that are probably not coming back (these kind of events don't seem to come back around too often). They are not the greatest, but it's good to have and annoying if you need them later.

You also get +300 CC, 5 RR tickets, 1 LRR ticket, 1 Support RR ticket and 1 legend ticket (all of these rewards are from chopperman missions if you want to check for yourselves and are for reaching 300 drops in either of the parts; do them both to get these rewards twice)
