Between Hawk Eyes Mihawk: World's Strongest Swordsman [INT] and Shanks: Black Clad Emperor [PSY], which of them deserves super evolving first?

Knowing that I've the following units:

  • Princess Shirahoshi: Promise of Reunion [PSY] (SE) for defeating tough bosses.
  • Sakazuki (Akainu): Fateful Struggle to Death [INT] for STG and INT teams.
  • Lucy: Victor of the Corrida Colessium [STR] for DEX and QCK teams.
  • Captain Buggy [INT] for farming mobs.

Between those 2 Mihawk has the better super evolution for sure. But even in his 6+ he won't be nealry as good captain as Lucy and Akainu. So maybe evolving him will be wasteful if you are low on evolution skulls.

I'm a returning player so many things seems off for me, at first, I recall that elements/types of characters mattered most so it was focused around STR team, QCK, etc, but when I came back, I find that classes are become somehow better than the type itself.

Second, I didn't get a legend in the old days of OPTC like at all except for a Moneky D. Luffy: Gear Four [QCK] and Fire Fist Ace [STR] whom I could swear ain't legend but those where my best units within my team.

Now when I got back to the game for the 3rd time (4 overall) through 5 years, I feel like things became easier, there is even daily rainbow gems, daily books and stuff, and it was possible for me to pull like 8 legends through 4 sugos regardless of their worth, and that's why I've no idea what to do now.

Mihawk seems like a good OP slasher character, would be great addition to INT teams but when compared to Shanks, I find that I already have Shirahoshi's team and I'd use my other OP units which won't include Shanks mostly but for PSY teams, he is superior but... I don't know.

I used 10k points on evolving Shirahoshi and I sold Rob and Sabo legends to have another 10k points, so what do you think?

I think keeping legend copies is better than selling them to super evolve one, for the most part. Don't try to rush things, you'll have more gems for future sugos in no time. We even get a free multipull in a few days.

Shirahoshi is okay and in some content you literally can't lose with her, but in recent content she's not much of use.

Teams rely on multiple types these days, since we have multiple bosses in a content and you want to have color advantage vs. all if possible.

You'll find that Mihawk is not that easy to make teams with and is not OP.

Just try to be a bit patient till you get some characters worth investing into (like Snakeman, Luffy/Law, Bullet, Soba).

The best teams you can do rn are with Lucy. He's still strong enough to help you farm essential f2p units.

And Akainu us great. His captain ability is strong by itself and he'll clear many of those Garp challenges effortlessly (given you hit the perfects).

So none of them deserve to be super evolved and it's better to wait for the upcoming sugos and waste my 70 rainbow gems on them, maybe I'd get lucky by then, right?

If you thing spending gems on sugos is a "waste" how do you think you are gonna find upgrades for your box?

Super evolving really old legends is also a "waste" of time and resources. And you already have 2 decent legends, better than Mihawk.

I just said wait for the free multi at least cause you never know, you can pull something even better that can change your mind.
