If you are new, you'll have to refill stamina to farm some content. Refilling costs gems. By using the Hoe ship you get a lot more pirate exp and hit level-ups faster. That means you are saving gems in the long run. So, in the end you pay 30 gems for the ship, but you get a lot more gems through level ups. It's free real estate.

I get what ur saying but i am not really a farmer myself lol, haven't spent gems refilling yet

Well that's the nature of the game and how you can get value out of the ship, anyway.
