Fuck them snowflakes. If I see someone with an upset face, I WILL tell them to smile. SMILE MORE, you snowflake feminist. SMILE MORE. I don't care what you think. Saying "smile more" was never offensive, never will be. I can ask a guy to smile more as well. I ask every Luffy cosplayer to smile.

Wow you really are a shit person. Or a very young, arrogant, and inexperienced one.

Asking someone to have the decency to think of how their actions or words affect others is not a big ask for a level-headed adult who actually has experience interacting with people in the world.

To double-down and argue against it shows you are either a kid, man-child, or extremely socially stunted - but definitely an asshole.

Either way, you could afford to learn some empathy before life teaches it to you. Grow up, junior.

Hey found the snowflake.

If I see someone I know having a down face, I will ask him why. It's not a hard thing.

Likewise, if someone's taking a photo especially of a cosplay or joyous event with a sad face, I WLL tell her to smile more. It's a friendly gesture. It's not like I'm asking him to smile in his parents/grandparents funeral.

Also, idgaf what you think of me. I know being kind enough to tell someone to "smile more" for a photo isn't a bad thing. I am not hurting anyone with my statement rather spreading positivity... I'm happy to help.

...but you literally did not ask this person before suggesting what YOU would prefer they do instead.

...if someone's taking a photo especially of a cosplay or joyous event with a sad face...

Again, that is you projecting YOUR opinion onto THEIR presentation when you have no idea what the artist's reason is for it (because you failed to ask).

I am not hurting anyone with my statement rather spreading positivity... I'm happy to help.

And I'm happy to help you by suggesting you practice better empathy. On top of that you're delusional and argumentative.

It doesn't take a "snowflake" to figure you out and call you on your bullshit. Anyone with any level of learned wisdom can do that just fine.

I see where this is going, and hope you grow out of what is a very clear showing of a lack of human experience.

Is she cosplaying someone who is supposed to be a sad character? No...

It's Nami in Arlong Park... Even IF she was cosplaying the moment, she stabbed herself, the face doesn't match the moment. It should show more sadness then. Rn, it's more of an emotionless expression.

On top of that you're delusional and argumentative

That's your belief.

And you are arguing over a void topic. Do you even know why "smile more" is offensive? They believe only women are asked to smile more while men aren't. That's BS. Both should smile. If it's not a funeral, then why the long face? You are there to enjoy yourself. Not feel down. If you can't enjoy yourself in an event that's based on "expressing yourself as a fictional character", then I suggest you stay home. Not out of spite, but because at the time you don't need the company of joyful others but the solitude that will help you recover.

It really pains me to see such a simple phrase that was never meant to be an insult or anything is the cause of this massive argument.

I've seen doughnut Ace cosplayers smile... Actually most of the cosplayers smile while taking a photo. It's a norm. Why are people triggered so easily?

And I'm not IMPOSING my thoughts on someone. I am merely giving a suggestion. I even said "I think". I know different people like different poses. She posted it here ASKING for opinions. I believe I'm totally allowed to share my opinion here, I didn't spread hate so I'm not sorry at all of what I said.

If you have problems... That's your problem not mine. I hope this society grows out of such conservative mentality and becomes more expressive. Such tiny gestures help somebody have a great day.

God damn it, Why are you guys/gals even arguing so much inthe first place? She herself said that it's just that she is not confident with her smile. That's all. If you ask me, I will say everyone looks beautiful when smiling. I am not imposing anyone to smile more but if someone asks me for opinions then I'll definitely tell them, smiling while taking a picture looks better than a picture without a smile.
