At this point it's just a cool part or a nod to the past of a shounen manga that has been going on for a couple decades. Does it need to be anything more? It's not that serious

I don't think it's surprising at all, the story grew so much that it absolutely makes sense that these kinds of things are left at the back. As said, typical shounen stuff
