Lol, Pearl i can kinda see (he misses the elbow guards) but krieg and especially gin seem to be a stretch. Happy to be proven wrong in future chapters tho haha

Yeah Gin is, to say the least, very different to his original design... but I guess it isn't like there are any other characters with bandanas and black hair who are known to hang out with Don Krieg.
Weird he has a sword instead of his clubs though.

I'd argue his original design already was one of the best Oda ever came up with. The moment he started fighting he was pure awesomeness. Same simplicity that makes the design of both Zoro and Sanji amazing.

Yeah the sword thing is throwing me off the most. It would be disappointing if he traded one of the coolest weapons for just another sword
