Could be true the Long running theory that the One Piece is at the ocean floor.

Explains quite a couple of things:

  • Why Rayleigh learned to coat ships. Why he’s such a good swimmer too.

  • Why neither Buggy and Shanks wanted to eat a DF (I know they never came to Laugh Tale but they must be aware of the final course)

  • Most importantly, Roger execution speech. “この世の全てをそこに置いてきた/I left everything the world has there”. Most important is そこ/soko , which means “there/at that place” . However the Kanji for そこ is read as 底, meaning “bottom”

Edit: I forget but what was the timeline on Buggy eating his DF ? And did his crew know he ate a DF since he hid it from the crew and only Shanks knew ? It could be that Buggy faked his “can’t get to the final island” disease like Usopp usually does to get out of doing something. In Buggy’s case, it would be to hide the fact that he couldn’t swim to Laugh Tale because he tricked the crew with a fake fruit ?

Not just buggy and shanks, the whole crew did not use devil fruits

You’re right. I thought for sure that Roger must have had DF users on his crew. But there’s no confirmed DF user aside from Buggy on Roger Pirate. And Buggy was the only one who caught that “can’t get to the final island” disease.

Did the rest of the Roger Pirates even know Buggy ate a real DF and not the fake he tricked them with ? Aside from Shanks ofc

Roger didn't have any DF users other than Buggy. Instead his crew were mostly fighters,swordsmen, an axe man, a larger man and a Fish Man then Oden plus ordinary crewmen. The Roger Pirates knew Buggy ate a DF because in Episode 0 Shanks asks him "you can't be cut anyway, what are you worried about?"
