I mean... A Davy Back Fight is not about loyalty. Remember, that the winner may decide who joins his crew. So either most of Foxys crew left and the most loyal members stayed (the good ending)

Or

The most useless crewmembers stayed, because the winner didn't want them in their crew (the bad ending)

Iirc the winner gets to pick, what/who he gets. That's why Chopper was temporarily in Foxys crew. Luffy would have never chosen a crewmember to leave.

I'm waiting until Egghead is over and I get to reread with all the information we get from it. It recontextualises so much right now, I wonder how differently I see the series after Egghead is finished and we have all the information

didn't luffy "win" his whole crew then release them from his service or was that anime filler? If so it'd make sense they'd want a smaller ship just because otherwise it's hard to sail.

what I find hilarious is how literally every character has come back in some form but we'll probably never see anything about Don Krieg and his (ex-)crew and the only person from Kuro's crew who's came up since their arc is fucking Jango

I have a feeling we will eventually see Gin in a small cameo like the characters from the past couple chapters. If Oda felt the need to bring back Demalo Black in a panel I don’t see him forgetting Gin

yeah that slow slow guy , is even slow too catch onto things . Maybe at the end , the foxy games will be held and luffy just cancel the effect with his haki . And then foxy goes - ' You truly have grown my protege , a man worth of the title of the pirate king' . And just kills himself . You ever think , foxy just looks at luffy's bounty and is relieved , that luffy holds no grudges?
