Does anyone find it interesting/curious that Oda introduces the elders' powers by just saying the name of the mythical creature that they are and not as a devil fruit type power? Might lead credence to the thought that their power doesn't come from a devil fruit but something different?

They do not need devil fruits. They themselves are the devils.

I’m still waiting to see if Brook says anything. Brook was in the underworld. If anyone knows anything about these forms, it’s gotta be VP or Brook. And Brook hasn’t actually seen Saturn or the rest yet.
