If around the start of Egghead, you told me Luffy would be against all the Gorosei with Dorry and Broggy, I would have said absolute bullshit.

This arc has been so sick. People were thinking it would be a chill side arc with maybe a little lore dropped before we got to next big island and Oda just said fuck all of y'all expectations and watch me fuckin cook!

Which is also more realistic tbh. Not everything just happens in a tight little bow, as soon as the Gorosei recognized this as the end game they went to fucking work.
