we dont know if its a black blade yet, it may just be haki coated. because a previous panel long ago he was cleaning his sword and it didn't look black. its been only a few months since return to sabaody inverse timeline, there's no way he turned it black just now

Is this the first time we see such a transformation? It's not his hybrid because he has both complete horse and complete human form. Marco comes to mind cuz sometimes he only uses wings while preserving the rest of his body as human, but I'm not sure its the same.

I'm honestly shocked that we have not seen more zoan users with similar feats. Good ol' Chopper was the only one to have more transformations for a long time, and even within Kaido's Beast Pirates, only a few used something like that (if you wanna count whatever the hell Queen and King were doing)
