Certainly not, Sanji even mentioned he was smiling… meaning, he’s dying. And his martyrdom move is activated when he dies, to release all his information across the world.

Yeah. Ever since the Nefertari D. Lili reveal I started to wonder how many other "secret D.s" there were out there. If "smiling upon death" is an indicator then I guess we can add Vega D. Punk and O D. En to the list.

I guess my overall question is.... Why the need for Kizaru to stab him again? It makes me think he's actually NOT dying. If you kind of recall the events just now:

  1. Saturn impales him, and although Saturn getting beat up by Luffy/Kuma, Saturn is LEAGUES stronger than Vegapunk, that should be a lethal blow.

  2. Vegapunk CONFIRMS it is a lethal blow, so much so that if they move him HE WILL DIE.

  3. Sanji then MOVES him anyways, confirming Vegapunk's prediction that he will die

There was more than enough set-up for that. AND YET ODA MADE KIZARU IMPALE HIM AGAIN ANYWAYS. Despite the fact that Vegapunk already confirmed his own death if he got moved and that's exactly what they did.

I'll be honest, I think Kizaru actually SAVED him somehow with the impaling. I know it's plotkai bullcrap when people "burn the wound shut", but I'm sure Oda will bring in some kind of Laser Surgery Tech where Kizaru just did something to keep Vegapunk alive.

Otherwise.... why the need to stab him again? They already set up and foretold the conditions for him to die....

The activation of the message seems enough of a proof that he is dying. If it was not automated, there would have been no reason to not release the message already, so it seems confirmed that it is connected to his death/ near death.

Why make kizaru give the coup de grace? Maybe it would have made luffy and sanji look bad if they moved him anyway and he just died from that, this way it's implied that he MIGHT have survived anyway, but kizaru crushed the last hope.

I’m sorry bro, he was literally turned into a donut TWICE… and gave the classic death smile, but only Sanji saw it- all the death flags, even had the flatline

Yeah I thought it was a bit odd too. Kizaru pretty much pew'd him the exact same place he already had a hole. Wouldn't surprise Kizaru did the same thing to Vegapunk that Aokiji presumably did to Garp (freezing his wound). Given the appearance of killing them when in reality they were saving their life. At the same time I also wondered why Sanji didn't hotfoot his stomach before moving him too.

His true heart isn’t there? If Law can do it so can vegapunk imo Sanji mention venom so I guess kizaru lasered a bigger hole to eliminate it before spreading

Well there was only a mention of venom after Saturn went full beast mode. Not saying he can't excrete venom in his hybrid form, but at the same time I don't think we should just assume that he was when he stabbed Saturn.

hmm, maybe Kizaru did some funky hologram technique to allow Vegapunk’s soul to broadcast the final message- since in the One Piece world, the soul has weight.

Had one final safeguard like Martin Sheen in the live action Spawn movie
