I think Oda foreshadowed the biggest Irony in this chapter. I think Luffy will defeat Saturn and they will come to the ship and try to escape but they will be surrounded. Kuma who would have regained memory by then will say Goodbye to Bonney for the last time and send the Sunny Flying to Elbaf in spite of receiving direct orders from Saturn to kill them. This I think will trigger the bomb in Kuma implanted by Saturn to explode. But before it can explode Kuma will come in front of Saturn. Thus the explosion will kill both Kuma and Saturn. The death of Saturn will be the big Egg Head incident.

Ok, this is actually genius, Kuma's self-destruction killing Saturn would be poetic. Most theories here are far fetched but this one I actually give a 50/50

As long as Oda doesn't pull a Pell, it would be one of the best One Piece moments. And considering how much he milked the death of Pedro, you know we'd get a lot of moments of the crew remembering Kuma when they need a boost of motivation.

I don't even want Oda to go for some happy twist at the end here where Kuma recovers or something. Go dark with it.

Oda often doesn't want to stain "good" characters with blood, so my bet is on the ole JRPG/Japanese anime media trope of the "dirty work" of ending a villain character being finished by an antagonist.

Kuma's suicide bomb will likely blow up in Saturn's face in grand ironic fashion, but won't kill him. The Blackbeard pirate group near Egghead will be the ones to end a weakened Saturn; thereby, poaching a potential DF while also leaving the protagonists "bloodless."

Fuck Saturn.. i wanna see Kuma smiles one more time in the present day arc and confirm that he actually saved nika’s life and was right. He deserves this

Bomb primed > Kuma has the energy inside him > He uses the Paw Paw Fuck You No Mi to transfer it into Saturn's 8 legged ass.
