All these chapters, I never cried during Kuma’s flashback…but this chapter…punched me in the gut so badly the flood gates opened….

Same. If I cried like this with the manga, the anime will absolutely kill me. I might hold and binge the entire flashback for maximum emotional trauma.

I’m really looking forward to his flashback being animated, but especially this chapter. There is so much opportunity to make this even more beautiful and tragic with the voice acting, the animation, a beautiful, swelling score to take the emotions even further. I feel like I’m gonna bawl like I did during the emotional zenith of Chopper’s backstory back on Drum Island.

I really hope they do a good job with it and don’t overly stretch it out. Don’t ruin Kuma’s story with bad pacing.🙏
