I felt this in my soul. Bless you.

Hate teens driving around loudly thinking they're being so cool.

I feel this in my soul. Nothing worse than a car with a fart cannon going by at 2 in the morning.

Right!! Assholes lol. Every noise will irritate you once you have a baby and go through all the naps

Unfortunately I live in a neighborhood with a lot of loud cars. There's always someone cutting down trees, lots of construction workers and lawn care workers live here and their trucks are coming and going all damn day. Everyday there's someone in the neighborhood blowing leaves and mowing their lawn (it's f*cking winter WHAT?) and then fireworks on every damn holiday (fireworks at midnight for Christmas cause Jesus or something, I wanted to scream). It's literally hell, solidarity.

Omg my mailman comes 10 minutes after I lay my toddler down. Doesn’t matter if I’m early or late, always 10 minutes after and my dogs don’t seem to understand the concept of quiet time

My neighbors truck literally breaks the sound barrier every time it starts. It drives me absolutely insane. Especially bc our room faces the street with two terribly insulated windows. Ever since I had kids and just became older and more crotchety I guess, I have HATED people with loud cars. Like, do they know we all hate them?

Also the garbage truck. And the endless fireworks. Idk why people in my neighborhood are so obsessed with fireworks at all times or the year. Every holiday. Easter? Firewood’s. MLK? Fireworks. Presidents’ Day? Fireworks. National grilled cheese day? Fireworks.

Same!!!!! Why can't people just realise they're not the only ones living in the world?

Omg same! I live in an apartment complex and maintenance always seems to blow leaves right when I settle her down from being a bit fussy. We obviously can’t stop people from doing their yard work and stuff but I feel you.

I am thankful that I went in knowing I was going to have to resume some kind of noise when it comes to putting baby girl down for naps so at seven weeks old, we can carry normal volume conversations and have a bit of accidental loud noises and she doesn’t stir too much. Only when it’s been somewhat quiet and my boyfriend decides to grab a snack and accidentally lets the cabinet door slam, for example.

The only time we try to limit noise and talk softer is bedtime from 9pm on until morning!

This kind of stuff kills me which is why i invested in several sound machines

Sound machine! Sound machine! Sound machine!

Seriously, it has helped both of my babies so much. We were able to drown out 4th of July fireworks for my son and it helps set the sleep atmosphere any time we travel.

Same. I’ve almost decided to go out and buy our neighbor an electric leaf blower because at least that’d be quieter.

Ugh. Ever since my first, the neighbors who live on the side of the house where her bedroom faces have always been on completely opposite schedules as us.

They’re early risers. We’re not, at all. So when they let their dog out and he’s barking at the side door to be let in at anywhere from 5:30am-7am, guess who gets woken up?

They seem to prefer to wait until after lunch to do ANY outdoor yard work or spend time in their yard. So when they’re slamming their door or using the lawnmower, or shouting to each other from across the yard, guess whose nap gets interrupted?

They’re nice people. I’ve spoken with them numerous times about the fucking dog. It stops for a while then they forget about it? Assume the noise that was always disruptive isn’t disruptive anymore?? (I don’t fucking know, it makes no sense). It keeps happening!!!

my neighbor has been making a chess set from scratch out of wood using various saws since september in his garage with the door open

I'm pretty sure my upstairs neighbor waits until my baby is asleep and then drops every pot and pan in his kitchen. His kitchen, for some reason, is right above the bedroom.

My baby doesn't seem to wake to specific loud sounds (i.e. leaf blower, vacuum for example...) but seems startled by noises that are quieter- sneezes, dropping something... Does that mean maybe his hearing should be checked again?😆🤣

Don't have neighbours but I do leave the vacuum on A LOT!

We live near train tracks, we've mostly been able to avoid putting her down when a train comes through, but if her schedule gets off then it's train city during nap time.

Oh my goodness neighbors are the worst with timing. The UPS man always comes during nap and my next door neighbor stands outside my daughter’s window yelling conversation at him because she’s elderly and hard of hearing. She yells down from her porch at him and I’m like SHUT UP. So nothing but solidarity from me here.

Leaf blowers should be illegal. Soooooo bad for the environment, also incredibly ineffective.
