Sleep 9mo only napped for 1hr yesterday. She was still up every hour for 4hrs, then totally awake for over 2hrs, then waking still every 2hrs after getting back to sleep. Send help
We are EBF, so I'm dying. Countless failed transfers. Baby doesn't want to nurse. Baby doesn't want to bedshare. Baby doesn't want to be rocked. But she fell asleep just leaning against Dad in the playpen.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this a regression? Teething? Do we try and night wean? Sleep has gotten progressively worse. It's frustrating because I feel like I should have things figured out by now. Anyone? TIA

One thing I’ve learned in parenting is that we never, ever have anything figured out. Like not even a little bit.
To me it sounds like she’s going through the separation anxiety phase they all start around this age. It’s such a hard stage, truly. This is around the time I start co-sleeping and it’s worked for all 3 of mine. Not an option for everyone though.

My son started sleeping like shit at around 9.5 months thru 11 months. Dropping a nap or something and then I think we kept it too cold. And teef. The teef are killer

she should be able to sleep thru the night without a feed at this point, even if EBF. sounds like it may be time for night weaning/sleep training.

Every baby is different. Not all babies can go the whole night without nursing. Some for nourishment, some for comfort, some for both. A lot of babies don’t sleep through the night till over 12m

Is she too hot or too cold? I just went through this with my LO and he turned out to be too cold. To be honest, 9 months was the hardest for me as well when it came to sleeping. I think I was supposed to change his sleep schedule around 8 months but didn’t think anything of it. After switching to two naps a day, he did a lot better. I also upped his solids and made sure he was getting more calories during the day. He will still wake up around 4am for a “snack” (usually around 4 oz) and then go right back to sleep until 7. If she’s teething, offer her plenty of cold tethers periodically throughout the day too, it helps a lot with fussiness.
