Hello everyone! Following the success of the QK100 and numerous requests for another full-size keyboard, we're thrilled to introduce the QK101. Building on our QK80 MK2, this third-generation design features comprehensive structural improvements and upgrades. Here's what makes it special!

  • Customizable screen with dynamic theme system: Upload custom GIFs for foreground and background layers separately to create a unique accent for your keyboard. The playback speed syncs with your typing rhythm.
  • Enhanced plate and stabilizer options: New plate design with integrated plate cushion better showcases each switch's distinct sound characteristics. We now offer plates compatible with both plate-mounted and PCB-mounted stabilizers, allowing you to choose based on your preference.
  • Dual-mounting system: Features both top-mount and gasket-mount options with double-sided gaskets, offering typing feel from firm to bouncy.
  • 9 stunning color options in both WK and WKL layout: We've expanded our anodized color selection, featuring the same ultra-smooth surface texture as the QK80MK2.
    • Spray-coated: Black (with subtle glitter), Pink, Retro White
    • Anodized: Sandgold, Red, Grey, Lilac, Ice Blue, and Silver
  • Customizable magnetic badges: The badges on the front and back are interchangeable. We'll also provide design files to the community for further customization.

Happy holidays!

Guide Need a Quiet Mechanical Keyboard for Gaming and Typing (Budget: $50)

Hey everyone, I'm staying with two roommates in my college hostel, and I play a lot of games and type quite a bit. The problem is my current keyboard sounds like a typewriter, and my roommates absolutely hate it.

I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard that makes very little noise. If that's not possible within my budget, Iโ€™d appreciate suggestions for any other type of keyboard suitable for both gaming and typing. My budget is $50 max.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Discussion Ranked keycaps customer service

Hello everyone. I just wanted to ask here if this was normal, I contactedย ranked.ggย for a return request on a blank keycap set with a warped spacebar on the 20'th (I sent a separate email to their support email as well) and I still have not gotten a response. Is this just because of the holiday season or is it bad customer service? Thanks everyone.

Review AULA F99 - Fantastic budget keyboard

Iโ€™ve built custom keyboards and had expensive ones before. I find more joy in modding budget boards and swapping switches.

So far the cheaper boards iโ€™ve tried: 1. FL Esports F12, modded with tape and foam

  1. RK100, foam and tape mod.

I recently got the AULA F99 and donโ€™t feel the need to mod it at all. Itโ€™s surprisingly good out of the box with pleasant linear box switches. Somwhat creamy sound with non-slippery keys.

My only reference for linears are the bobagums and boba LTs but these feel better than both.

Builds Newbie Wanting To Build First Keyboard Need Help With Switches

I know it's the sum of all the parts that will give me the sound I want, which is a deep inner thock sound.

What are the best or "go to" budget switches that are popular or known for giving that deep thock sound? I use my keyboard more for long-term typing (I am a writer).

Thank you everyone and hope you had a good holiday.

Discussion Stoked to join this community!

Hi everyone,

Recently, my Steelseries Apex Pro has been on the fritz. The keyboard was fantastic for about a year before I had any issues. My last keyboard was a G915 Lightspeed, which lasted about the same length of time. I was so close to buying a Razer Deathstalker v2 pro, but I decided to do some research on alternatives. Iโ€™m tired of spending decent amounts of money on โ€œgamerโ€ gear that typically doesnโ€™t last that long. I discovered this sub, and also started watching some Hipyo tech videos. Iโ€™m not sure if heโ€™s a meme in this community, but Iโ€™ve been enjoying his content!

After much deliberation (well, for a guy that loves to impulse buy) and perusal of posts on this sub, I landed on the Keychron Q6 Max with the brown tactile switches as my entry point to custom mechanical keyboards. I wanted something with the flexibility to take a range of switches so that I can experiment, and also something that is decent quality so that I can expect a good operating life.

Wow. Just, wow. Typing on this thing is like an absolute dream. Iโ€™ve never used a keyboard even close to this. I was sitting at my desk just staring at the keyboard and running my fingers across the keycaps like some kind of mesmerised weirdo. Iโ€™m totally hooked. I especially love the weight of the aluminium frame. It just feels like quality to me.

Iโ€™ve got some Gateron Silent Linear Reds arriving tomorrow and Iโ€™m so excited!

Review It's been over 6 months since I GBed a zoom65 v3 from Meletrix and Mech Land and I still have not received it.

I originally joined the group buy through Mech Land when the ETA was late September - early October so I could use it as a Christmas present for a family member. For the last 2 months, I've been in contact with Mech Land and they told me that they themselves as vendors have not received my keyboard from Meletrix. Basically my keyboard was part of the "Ocean Freight" batch (still in transport) and not the "Air Express" batch which had already arrived to other customers. Mech Land also didn't know when they would get my keyboard, only that it still has not reached the "final mile carrier." When I asked Meletrix about the shipping issue and telling them what Mech Land told me, they responded saying that they had no clue when the keyboard would arrive either. So neither the vendor or the manufacturer is able to track my keyboard and it's already more than 2 months past the originally planned delivery window.

I'm curious to know if anyone else is in the same boat as me. Obviously I understand that most people have had no issues getting their keyboard and this is a risk you take with group buys, but Christmas has already passed and this is getting frustrating.
