Wow! I've never seen this before! Is this why the final version still has eye holes in the skull, you think? Or is it just because he wanted it to retain some characteristics, albeit useless, from its host?

I’m guessing a little of both, I do know Giger wanted the human skull beneath the dome to remind us of it’s human host for sure. 💀
