Karting Question KartKraft or Kart Racing Pro?

Both are currently $30 and I want the most realistic simulator. Any advice on which on I should get?

There’s a pretty big community around KRP, moddable, but lots of our friends find it unreliable.

We’re moving to KartSim, which isn’t cheap, but has a lot of work being done on it and feels like it has a lot more of a future.

Kart Kraft wasn’t bad but it’s dead now. What’s funny is SimCraft keeps pushing it on their motion platforms, and I’m like dude it’s an abandoned codebase. WTF

It is…sorta.

You get rFactor 2 first on steam, then you buy the KartSim license, which for the US pack is about $500 USD.

Then they activate your account, and next time you get into rFactor via steam it downloads.

It’s not for the casual racer, more intended for folks who are racing nationally.

But the US pack is great, track maps are excellent so far, and it’s becoming a necessity as a tool for us to prepare for the season. It’s being used as more of a true training platform.

They offer their own sim rigs as well, and K1 is the official supplier in the US.

I’m sorry. Five hundred? Dollars? For a video game? Are you serious?

The full version is this much. There is a reduced "sim racing" bundle for around £40. I think it's all UK and European tracks included.

That’s the North America pack. There’s another one that’s less I think, yea.
