This first candle was lit to honour the memory of Dr Adnan Al-Bursh 🇵🇸❤️

happy chrismukah! my housemate and i both have one jewish parent and one christian parent, so we celebrate both (at her parents’ place this year). super special year given the first night of chanukah is on christmas day :)

(we realized we got the placement of the first candle wrong immediately after i took this photo and corrected it!)

Heck yeah! Your menorah looks so great! We do both in our house too. Don't let anyone police your candle placement btw, there're as many ways to be a Jew as there are Jews and that includes how you light your candles ❤️

actually i really like learning the “correct” way to do things. i don’t follow halacha to a T by any means but i do like practicing the traditional way when i can, it makes me feel spiritually connected to judaism as a whole.
