You'd think we'd know that since it's our language, but I guess they know better.

So funny since the Indians and Jews are competing for the same jobs Medicine, finance, and tech

Weird how we don’t have to tear each other down about it like white people always seem to.

It's also weird because there has been an increase in right-wing Indian politicians in the US with the most vile ideas and policies. It is all very confusing.

It is very simple. After israel, India is the next big enemy of Islamic colonization. Africa welcomed it. Europe is welcoming it. Not india, not israel. but guess whos after India.......

u/tchomptchomp 1d ago
No, this is mediocre WASPs being mad that posh tech jobs are going to people who are actually talented.

u/tnvoipguy 1d ago
As someone who has used offshore talent…I strongly disagree. Dealing with support and paying contractors from india for an efficient software development process is a nightmare. It takes them double the time and the final product always needs adjustments.

u/OlcasersM Conservative 17h ago
The work culture is so different I would almost always prefer Americans. They avoid conflict with managers so It is difficult to get straight answers especially when something can’t be done. The casualness of American tech workers makes collaboration easier and reduces surprises

u/riverrocks452 1d ago
That's funny. My job is being offshored. To India. So, uh....yeah. (No shade on Indians, but this was a management decision that's likely to blow up in their faces- at which point they'll blame everyone but themselves.)
3
u/tnvoipguy 1d ago
It will indeed! So many companies learn this lesson the hard way and lose money doing it.
5
u/riverrocks452 1d ago
The announcement was made in an 'all hands' meeting, and people immediately flooded the question queue with pointed queries about implementation, specific cost savings, failsafes for low quality work products, etc. I have never seen it so spicy. One of the answers got into finger-wagging over how the department hadn't adopted the last set of cost cutting measures, prompting another round of "care to describe the ways in which we haven't, Mr. first-class passenger with a limo service?"-type questions.
Long story short, I expect no credit if it works, full blame if it doesn't, and a sense of relief no matter how the impending layoff turns out. Ahhhhh, corporate America: speedrunning society's descent into greedbased values systems one company at a time.

Stew Peters is the same person who recently posted that Channukah was invented in the 1980s. He also once posted that the sprayed edges seen on seforim are the dried blood of torture victims. Seriously, the man will literally say anything, no matter how stupid it is.

Suliaman is such a weird human. Destiny debated him over I/P which should have been a slam dunk for Destiny. Suliaman would not acknowledge any of the facts on the ground Destiny was pointing out. He just lives in a different reality.

Of course, because white Americans (who are immigrants just like others) are so much brighter than Indian software engineers. Unbelievable how jealous these people are. If these people are so bright, why don't they show it? America is a land of opportunity, a land of merit, if you're good then you will be rewarded for it accordingly. Spreading conspiracy theories won't help.

u/adreamofhodor 1d ago
It’s amazing- I work in the tech industry, in one of the more well known companies. I work with plenty of Indian immigrants (along with immigrants from all over the world) and they are every bit as capable as any American. Bigots are so fucking dumb.
4
u/centaurea_cyanus 1d ago
No, it definitely does help. Because obviously these white Americans can't succeed because all those immigrants are coming and stealing the jobs.. If only they weren't! Then, and only then, when there are no immigrants (a totally not impossible task, right), can they show their amazing talents and intelligence!

Right. Don’t they think that the employees would prefer to hire Americans (no sponsoring visas and all the other mess to do it legally)
11
u/tzy___ Pshut a Yid 1d ago
Actually, no. A lot of work visas are contingent on employment, so these rich billionaires prefer to hire immigrants because they can mistreat them. It’s like slavery. The immigrant employees don’t want to risk being fired and losing their visa.

u/Interesting_Claim414 1d ago
Interesting. I know Bloomberg for instance hires a TON of foreign workers.

u/arb1974 2h ago
They have to pay the prevailing wage to H1B visa holders. They’re not lowballing them. The only reason to hire them is if you can’t find American workers. However, with all of the layoffs in tech over the last two years, there should be plenty of American workers that are available.

u/Interesting_Claim414 1d ago
I love how it is not even a factor that they might love Israel because they admire a nation of refugees becoming a powerful nation on the world stage and that they feel sorry that Israel is constantly being attacked but people they made so many peace offers to. Or simply that we know each other as peoples and simply admire each other as hard working and kind people
19
u/anewbys83 1d ago
My understanding, from what I heard earlier in the war, was they admire Israel for standing up to Muslims seeking their destruction. Like they get the whole terrorist experience due to Muslim extremism. That's where the admiration comes from. Kind of a "I know what you're going through" situation.

Hindu people often get along with Jews and aren't really impressed by Islamist propaganda, so of course they had to male up some kind of libel to try to "punish" them. 🙄 Adults on the outside, angry schoolyard bullies on the inside.

Jews have been in America since before India was colonized. I don't think we're conspiring to take jobs we already have and helped create.

As soon as I say i need Jewish holidays off they dont want to hire (and i only need RH, YT and the first night of Pesach tbh)

This is what I told someone in my former grad school who asked me if I was part of the global Zionist conspiracy bank empire “okay, please let these people know where I am, my bank account could use some good shekels. i’m a little low this month”. Like no one ever invites me for any conspiracy…I really feel left out, like is it because i’m Sephardi? I swear I’ll use the best spices on my food! Being part of an alliance sounds like a fun clubhouse! What a bunch of maroons as usual. 2024 has just shown us as Jews who our friends really are. Hugs and healing are my wishes for all of us right now.

People say that God is perfect. The fact that He made Stew Peters seriously undermines that statement.

u/Canislupusarctos11 1d ago
Both sides of the political spectrum really love to throw Indians and Jews under the bus together. This is why I guess it doesn’t really surprise me that none of the Indians I know online or irl turned on me the way so many others did. Really wish the X conspiracy theorists would shut up and just put more effort into their jobs instead of crying about how evil successful minorities are allegedly conspiring to steal jobs from them though. If they deserve them so much more they should be able to prove it without needing to drum up racial hatred.

u/boulevardofdef 1d ago
So I'm going to answer Florida Man (or "ForidaMan")'s question as if it were asked in good faith, because there really is a relatively simple answer.
First, you have to remember that to bigots of all stripes, "loving" is usually defined as "not hating." To them hate of the "other" is the default, so if you don't hate a group, you must love them.
Indians do not hate Jews because they are not from a Christian or (mostly) Muslim tradition. Anti-Semitism is a Christian/Muslim thing, as it originates from an eons-old resentment that the Jews have rejected their improvements to Judaism.

As an Indian I find this funny because we are a famously bickering people who divide ourselves in sub communities. We are the least likely to group to succeed in organised state capture.
This storm started because Trump’s Silicon Valley friends advising him on tech hires pushed a qualified Indian guy. The alt right got angry that an Indian was nominated as an AI adviser and claimed the “globalists” and “capitalists” are trying to replace white jobs. Notable people were Cernovich and Laura Loomer.
Its been 48 hours and now the links are being made between a Jewish attempt to drive down wages using Indian H1B visas.

Absolutely disgusting leech stew Peter's is. Makes me sick how insane he gas become and is literally sucking up to islamists
I watched stew years ago occasionally a few times and he never used to.mention Jews. Now he can't stop.
I know exactly why India is close to Israel and maybe Stewey boy can figure it out. One reason is they BOTH have had to put up as ancient peoples with extremism ..that's one of many reasons. Although i agree with a bit ..I don't agree with all about The Indian Govt or Israeli govt but I love both countries.
Stew Peter's did a video praising an orthodox Jew who passed away. It was years ago but it was too do with covid or something but it was still a strange video.
It is truly sad seeing this type of talk

Indians understand the threat of jihad the same way Jews do. Hindus and Jews share a strong devotion to God. Why shouldn’t we be allies?! Jay Hind and Am Yisrael Chai!

Tweets lack a lot of context. But I expect to see more of this from Far Right as the debate over increasing H1B Visas is on the table. Its the result of the strange bedfellows that Trump assembled to win. Silicon Valley, represented by the DOGE Brothers, are pushing to increase these visas, which will likely mean an influx of Indian immigrants. Post-pandemic, wages for college educated Americans have consistently increased. The best way for billionaires to slow that wage growth is to bring in more educated workers via H1B Visas. It is simple supply and demand. The Far Right opposes all non-European immigration as a betrayal, so they are making it known via tweets and other rhetoric.

Jews have been central to “replacement theory” for a while (since at least 1886), so this isn’t really new.
