Ask The Sub Israel Consulate NYC
I've gotten an Israeli visa earlier this year that expired and I tried to go onto their website a couple weeks ago to book a visa appointment at the consulate in New York but nothing was available. I checked again this morning to see if they released new dates, and it shows the same. Does anyone know if they do walk ins or whats going on and what I should do? My trip to Israel is on Jan 7th and I already bought non-refundable ticketsðŸ˜

Are you not a US citizen, or is the visa not a standard tourist visa? Just wondering.
Did you try and call them?

Not a US citizen. Also a lot of my friends that are US citizens mentioned that they changed their rules and starting August, if you're traveling to Israel you need to get an ETA or visa

OK. I would certainly call. I don't believe you can. walk in without an appointment.
ETA has already started, and is for travelers from ivisa- exempt countries only. So if you needed a visa before, you still do.
Good luck.

I have successfully talked my way into a consulate appointment before, but I think that very much depends on who is on guard duty.
This guard went inside and made an appointment for me so I could come back the week after. Take your plane tickets, make a friendly face and good attitude and give it a go.
