Probably. But the gig is up. Failed coups in Africa and South America. Plus the world becoming far more aware of who the real terrorists are will make it harder. Plus with the US looking to exit NATO under Trump things will fracture even further.

The world is changing. Erdogan for all his faults (and there are plenty) is the leader of his country much like Biden (for all his faults) is the leader of his country. So any coups planned and plotted simply reveal those who are masking their own failures and trying to control a world that knows exactly what they want to do.

Very true. But they sometimes work- still. I mean Khan in Pakistan, for instance.

Tomorrow will be 8 years since the failed coup attempt in 2016. Some soldiers shot their generals when they realized it was a coup attempt and they are remembered as heroes nowadays.

Turkey is not the backyard of CIA to pull coups whenever they want anymore. They have probably come to accept it. I hope you people also understand it as well.

It makes us furious for you to think of us as some lowly kindergarden of a country where you can change the governments whenever you want (or think CIA can change our governments whenever they want). NO! WE change our governments. Not you! No matter how stupid they are, they will be OUR stupid government that WE choose.

And then we can talk about how stupid they are.

Agree. I wasn't for the coup(s).

If for no reason that this- they are short sighted and there is often blowback
