I’ve gone down the water filter rabbit hole and was about to purchase a Zero Water pitcher but to my understanding not only does it filter out the bad minerals, but also good ones too.
There seems to be some contrasting opinions as to if this is a good thing or bad thing. Some people suggest you get plenty of those good minerals in your daily diet while others suggest that it’s generally bad to filter out those good minerals.
Is there a general consensus here? Do you have any recommendations for your favorite water filters? There seems to be so many options to choose from with so many differing opinions.

You might be prediabetic or already have diabetes.
Not trying to scare anyone, but I was drinking 6-8L of water a day and constantly had dry mouth. Frequently urinating maybe once every two hours, including when I (try) to sleep. Got checked out after a month, and, voila... diabetes.
Apparently, my kidneys were constantly trying to piss out the excess sugar my body couldn't absorb. After taking insulin, my dry mouth instantly disappeared and, while I still love water, I'm not chugging it like I used to. I'm down to 2-4L a day, and urinating much less. Also having uninterrupted, good sleep, finally.
I felt the need post this because I've seen people commenting here drinking 12L of water a day. That seems excessive and might be a symptom of something.
So, ya, consider getting yourself checked out if you notice yourself needing to overhydrate.

The new filters water is sooooo crisp. The one on the right is our old one we’ve had for almost 5 years?

I think they cleaned the water heater or replaced some pipes somewhere. It looked like a lot of minerals settled to the bottle pretty quickly. And this didn’t last very long.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a water bottle that will take the abuse? My last one just fell from waist height and the lid exploded. I want something I could throw on concrete and not have to check if it made it.

I’m sorry for the plastic, left my bottle at home earlier.

I had to buy this bottle as a quick fix after my last one broke while on a trip. I actually like the bottle itself a lot, but the lid is a pain in the ass. I see a bunch of replacement lids on Amazon, but are most 64oz wide mouths the same? Or does anyone have a recommendation on a good lid with a straw? I know this is a common problem with the Zulu’s

I bought a Brita Hub from a liquidation store. Basically someone’s return maybe. Well, it didn’t come with the water tank so I ordered one off of eBay. I soaked the filter and filled up the water tank but the water won’t dispense. The water light keeps blinking. I would order a new filter but don’t know if that would fix it. Anybody have ideas? I can hear the pump working when I press any button but again, no water is dispensed.
