i mean robin barely buffs crit and ruan mei doesn’t buff crit at all
robin gives 23% CV (48 on FuAs). considering sunday will give around 166% CV and sparkle gives around 141% CV, robin giving 23% and ruan mei giving 0% doesn’t rlly constitute them as “crit supports” IMO.
i get your point, but it sounds less like you’re “having to pull every crit support” and moreso just sounds like you’re pulling every harmony regardless (which is also fine). but i don’t think we should say crit supports are getting too much when they’ve gotten 2 dedicated supports
Robin gives my DPS a lot of CD by just being on the team and she is the best crit buffer right now. This is why people joke that it's Honkai Star Robin right now. They made her so busted that she works on every team except for break and DoT. When Ruan Mei came out in 1.6 where DHIl and Jingliu were reigning, you'd be hard pressed to find a showcase without her. All my DPSes are 1.X except for Rappa and they need every support since they've been left in the dust.
2 supports is more than enough for an archetype. The only way I'll be happy if Tribbie is a crit support is if she becomes a support for Blade and Jingliu who are rotting in my basement. Nevertheless I might pull for her if I end up liking her character.
“Good on every team except break and dot” actually most of her buffs are huge amounts of attack, 50 damage percent and action advance so she’s quite good on DoT teams.

You forgot Robin. Ruan Mei was also used in crit dps teams when she was released till break teams became a thing.
