Other day Pirates of the Caribbean came on the tv while I was at work in the breakroom, and its one of my favorite movies. And I started thinking about all the movies I consider my absolute favorites and came to the conclusion, there are a lot of movies I like because I cant find any other movie close to them.

Since PotC there really havent been many other pirate movies, or at least any good ones, which makes them stand out a lot more. And with the original Jurassic Park movies I love them so much because there just really arent many movies like it outside the franchise. Sure some people have attempted other live action dinosaur movies, but theyve been to varying degrees and often not good. Even the newer JP movies, though not really all that great, are still decent compared to a lot of the other live action attempts that come out which helps them stand out.
