Discussion There was a ransomware attack on Change Healthcare (United Health) this year. A few years earlier there was also an attack on Lorien Health Services (which LM's family owns). Thought this might be interesting...

I was doing private practice when this happened and I didn't get any pay for almost 2 months. Luckily, I also had a full time job in community mental health.
The practice i work for now actually got Oregon Health Authority to loan them money so they could pay the staff. UHG should've loaned practices money, not bankrupted them and bought them for cheap. It's like the execs watched Pretty Woman and got all the wrong messages.

Oh a few weeks ago a video on this was the top-rated post on /r/videos. I've since been banned from the subreddit, they didn't say why specifically.
