Totally forgot about that Finn marriage proposal thing

u/Manigrev 18d ago
It's bottom left

u/eevee_enthusiast_471 18d ago
Wait what happened there

u/HokageRimuru 18d ago
In a chapter the anime didn't adapt Finn (the captain of loki familia) proposed to her as he saw her as another prum with great potential. It caused Bell to antagonize over how important she is to him as she pretended to hear him out, but she never had any intention of entertaining the idea.

u/eevee_enthusiast_471 18d ago
So is the “breeding object” thing just an overexaggeration
25
u/Aliensinnoh Hestia Familia 18d ago
I mean not really, he wanted to have prum offspring. That’s the main thing stopping him from getting with Tione lol
23
u/irishgoblin 18d ago
Yeah, his desire is to improve the standing of the prum race as a whole. First step of that is being a hero they look up to, second would be raising the next generation of prum heros. Easiest way to for him to gain acces to young prums to raise up is if they're his own kids.

Kinda yeah, while Finn wants to have a Prum heir to continue, he also wanted to give Lili a good life and would very much try to be a good husband
Even Lili herself considers the points given to her by Finn and only rejected because she wanted to be with Bell

u/ImpossibleInfinite 17d ago
That makes me wonder, do you see a future for Finn and Lili? Or will it just remain that way, a rejected proposal?
6
u/Adent_Frecca 17d ago edited 16d ago
As of canon? Nothing in terms of relationship, at best Finn sees Lili as an amazing Pallum herself and wants her to be better, its why he usually tries to help her like in the Freya arc plans
Finn knows how to take a rejection and would just continue his way. He does lowkey help Lili get closer to Bell in Vol 8 but that backfired when Tione misunderstood it. He just wishes if they find a cool Pallum they would try to introduce him since he knows his luck with women are bad

Don’t forget the most important metric: makes her skirt work
13
u/CT_Melral Hestia Familia 17d ago
Lili: see Lili is making herself seem poor and helpless, making them not think Lili, has 200 mil valis under her skirt. Sooner or later Lili would have enough money to rule all of Orario and THEN THE WORLD! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Welf: She's at it again.....
Hestia: Let's just let her have this.

brother, Hedin is on their side, they would have lost if Hedin was really trying to win
17
u/Clear-Priority-6530 18d ago
Precisely, they were on the same side. If Lili hadn’t done such a good job, Hedin along with the coalition might have lost because they were already cutting it close as it is

The out strategized part was about finn at the end of the xenos arc
4
u/Kyenia 17d ago
Have you read sword oratoria pov on that xenos arc?
I won't deny lily did really well but It was at far from "out strategize" (Sword oratoria manga around ch 80-100 ish were xenos arc for context)
Lily was at a far disadvantage from the team composition but they had a clear advantage in information (although the book itself were faked by hermes)
Meanwhile Loki familia had a whole other goal and enemy (ch 88)

The last line of text probably had a stroke...
Also she can probably turn into an actual goat and that is concerning.

She did almost get her party killed by the Amphisbaena and a collapsing dungeon because she was too overcome with her emotions about Bell to strategize for her party. She intentionally dragged her feet and slowed down her party on their way to the 18th floor.

I had to think for a minute about who you were talking about then I was like, Oh you meant Finn
3
u/Niviik Hestia Familia 18d ago
"Outstrategized" Hedin
You are adorable...
8
u/Manigrev 18d ago
I was referring to season 3 and the end of the xenos arc
5
u/Niviik Hestia Familia 18d ago
Oh, this time. Well, she indeed did trick him, but he understood what she did and used it for his own benefit 10 minutes later.
3
u/DifferentScholar292 18d ago
The books clearly state that Hedin used her and that he appreciated her contributions because they were useful to him.

u/Otherwise_Finding_34 18d ago
I would be sure that this was a joke, but I remembered what sub this is.
"out strategized Hedin" lol
7
u/HokageRimuru 18d ago
They never said that, they just said a captain, and she did pull a fast one on Finn in the Xenos arc
-6
u/Otherwise_Finding_34 18d ago
the description was such that I honestly didn't even think of Finn lol.
-1
u/CT_Melral Hestia Familia 18d ago
I wouldn't really say she outsmarted Hedin it's just she realized how he's using her, noticing his plan of betrayal, and basically started working with him. He still basically outsmarted her but he did commend her to being smart enough, and smarter than Bell.
7
u/Manigrev 18d ago
Not Hedin, I was referring to finn in the end of the xenos arc

u/CT_Melral Hestia Familia 17d ago edited 17d ago
Oh okay my bad, yeah Finn basically underestimated Hestia Fam this moment and technically kinda did got outplayed here I agree.....
Besides that I am actually a massive Lili fan, one of my actual favorite characters. And yes I agree she is the goat supporter and is important to maintain Hestia Fam.

u/Zyaggho 17d ago
I feel like if in hindsight you should’ve put Finn since most people are getting Hedin for some reason.
5
u/CT_Melral Hestia Familia 17d ago
Maybe is cause a lot of our minds are focusing on this season and the wargame

u/Kaislink 17d ago
Plus, she doesn't waste money on clothes, she still wears the same ripped shirt from years ago.

u/JoJo5195 17d ago
She was never an alcoholic. She was one of the only members of the Soma familia that didn’t go crazy for his wine.
3
u/Complete-Ad-4590 17d ago
No she very much was an alcoholic for a long time, she just was sober enough to snap out of it for a bit and her character development allowed her to reject Soma wine the third time she drank it

u/Tranadar 18d ago
Her overcoming the Soma wine is a great feat not many could do. She is a great stratagist even Finn acknowledges that. She can be pretty annoying though. I get why
