I slowly pieced it together off of ebay, a tank here, a green shroud there, a green fender here. Finally found some graphics i liked that looked a kind of factory. Then put it all together. Kinda different. Otherwise its a 2001 drz-s, love this bike. It does everything i ask of it and more. One of the best bikes ive ever owned.

kinda surprised more people here didn't realize the green drz was a real thing. mine is actually titled kawi. i think kawi only got the E version. but im not fully sure. i got mine second hand and it was setup with aftermarket spedo and signals. its in about a million pieces currently though.

Yes, we only got the klx400r which is the drz400e, there was no supermoto counterpart, the Australian spec ones came with everything to have road compliance (tachometer, headlight, turn signals, tail lights etc)

Seems not many people are aware that the klx400 was a real Kawasaki that is just a drz. So this is really just that now.

Can you tell me more about the handlebar risers and ignition relocation?

Rox 2" risers, you can use stock cables. Slight pull on the cables at full lock but I've had no issues with it. You can relocate ignition into front fairing bolt on the side, requires some cutting around stock fairing

I see, so you relocated the ignition because you had to when you installed the risers?

Yep, I prefer the new location honestly, if I were to do it again I'd just get the cr high bars, about the same height difference and are the same bend as stock drz bars if I recall correctly

You realize the person you're talking to isn't the original poster right?
