Advice Anyone built a bath frame themselves?

Just wondering how simple this is.

I'm wanting to replace the flimsy as fuck pieces of shit panels on the bath in our new flat but the thing doesn't even have a frame to hold the panels.

I've bought two more rigid aquasure panels which I'll need to cut to size.

Just wondering if I'll be able to do this myself or if I'd be better getting a joiner in?

Did you follow any guides? A few things I've been unsure about like if the frame should be flush with the edge of the bath or if it should be tucked under the lip of the bath etc.

I guess it should be the width of the panels away from the bath edge.

Should be tucked in such that the top edge of your panels do not show, plus a couple of extra mm. I used velcro to attach the panel to the frame, then you get a seamless result without screw-heads (or screw-head caps) showing. I use suction cups (bought from Screwfix) to remove the panel if needed.

Whoa, this is genius. My panels are about 1cm or more thick - solid plastic, and they don't have any screw holes or anything in them so I was a bit unsure how to attach them in a maintainable way (being able to remove and re-attach easily). Brilliant idea.

Thanks! Don’t forget to take the thickness of the velcro into account when deciding how far back to put the frame.
