My cat and I live in Seoul now but we did enjoy our flat in Cairo.

From Cairo to Seoul? What do you do for a living that has you living in two completely different places? I’d love to visit both some day.

u/bullettenboss Jul 23 '24
Where exactly was this? Is it a hotel?
3
u/NomadicLaguna Jul 23 '24
My home I lived in for 3 years. Egyptian owner now lives there with his wife.

Indeed. I guess OP meant Bedouin themed.
62
u/mongoosefist Jul 22 '24
Rainbow LED's, just like the Bedouins used to use
41
u/NomadicLaguna Jul 22 '24
You clearly don't know modern bedouins for such a sarcastic comment my friend 😅
32
u/tourmalineforest Jul 22 '24
Historically, yes - now, a lot of Bedouins have stopped living nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyles
47
u/NomadicLaguna Jul 22 '24
Themed but bedouins today live in houses like everyone else.
6
u/vankorgan Jul 22 '24
Thanks for that. I too thought all Bedouin people were still nomadic. A quick Google shows me that's not true.

u/Tiny-Werewolf1962 Jul 22 '24
it's a lot easier to move 20 pillows than full sized couches. So that tracks.

This looks like that one scene from moon knight when Isaac wakes up in Egypt
28
u/MoldyWorp Jul 22 '24
First photo is absolutely incredible. Talk about a room with a view. The detail you can see when you zoom in - brilliant!
7
u/miyahedi21 Jul 22 '24
There's something very majestic about Ancient Egyptian architecture and art.
8
u/Nikeli Jul 22 '24
You have a book with a picture of your balcony view?
3
u/NomadicLaguna Jul 22 '24
I do 😅
2
u/Nikeli Jul 22 '24
Haha, that’s crazy. I hope your new place is also as cozy with a view worthy for a printed book (:

u/Farmafarm Jul 22 '24
Worth it? I was thinking of renting something similar as opposed to staying in Cairo and traveling for the day.
9
u/NomadicLaguna Jul 22 '24
You mean to live or travel? I lived here for 2.5 years and it isn't for the first time expat by any means.
2
u/Farmafarm Jul 22 '24
Oh no I thought it was one of those boutique Bedouin stays to view the pyramids.
I am thinking of going to Egypt and Lebanon for a couple weeks.

Oh my God… this is magical! The Pyramids of Giza are one of my favorite places in the world, this in the images is my dream.

u/Sanfraddle Jul 22 '24
I remember when you posted this a few months ago. Hope all is well

u/NomadicLaguna Jul 22 '24

Maybe I would live longer, be stronger, be more flexible, have fewer aches and pains if I had to get down and up again from the floor for every little thing. Yikes. But, love the view!

u/loveshercoffee Jul 22 '24
That is one of the most incredible views I have ever seen. I can't imagine having that to look at every single day. And the room looks so cozy! I'd like to hang out there.

Wow this is amazing. View of the pyramids too??? I can’t imagine how hard it is to get a place like that. Or expensive.

Are you reading a book containing a picture of the view from your apartment?

So we need to build pyramids along the interstate in the Great Plains in the US it looks like. Make that drive pretty

u/crankygerbil Jul 22 '24
I've flown over this site but never saw it on the ground. If I lived there I don't think I would ever leave that room!

Your textiles are gorgeous! I love the rugs especially, we had a couple like them when I was little and I remember that they held up to almost anything.

Unless you're staying in the room of a previous poster, this is absolutely a repost

u/alpaca_punchx Jul 22 '24
I can't find it on this sub, but it looks like the same OP posted in Male Living Space a few months ago.
2
u/Wolfdreama Dog at feet Jul 22 '24
OP hit the front page in a big way with these pictures on a different sub a few months ago.
