Very pretty. Can I ask which state you are in?

u/Luciano1m Jan 21 '24

MA

19

u/Antoniosmom89 Jan 21 '24

What! I live in MA and don’t know of any places like this! Idyllic!

9

u/Sobriquet-acushla Jan 21 '24

Is it near Sharon? It looks like a lake my grandfather used to take me to.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '24

Is this Webster lake?

1

u/gomihako_ Jan 22 '24

looks like webster

59

u/WishIWasAWookiee Jan 21 '24

Can you at least have a big mosquito problem over there or am I just to burst with envy?

39

u/Luciano1m Jan 21 '24

No mosquitoes

18

u/GeneralPatten Jan 22 '24

Really? In MA? Come on. We have mosquitoes everywhere.

18

u/Spartysmom5156 Jan 22 '24

I used to live on a 500 acre lake in MI. There were mosquitos but not from the lake. They live in standing water like swamps. Not lakes. No more mosquitos than anywhere else in MI.

u/NotoriousCFR Jan 22 '24

NY checking in. Never have an issue with mosquitos out on the water, but will get eaten alive on our beach area putting my kayaks back on the rack around dusk. The water in our cove does sometimes get a little stale and a couple spots on the beach are prone to flooding.

It sounds crazy, but I kind of got used to bug bites. A couple minor ones here and there don't bother me any more. Around here ticks are a much bigger threat. Had my first run-in with Lyme Disease last summer, it was as bad if not worse than advertised.

9

u/Silly_Hat_2587 Jan 21 '24

Flooding issues?

7

u/Luciano1m Jan 21 '24

None

17

u/aliensharedfish Jan 22 '24

Yeah... but like... the grocery store is a bit too far away, right? Like... not so far that you'd be "going into town for provisions," but more like "Dang, it'd be nice if the Stop&Shop was closer."

7

u/strickland---propane Jan 22 '24

The grocery store comes to them like an ice cream truck

1

u/WishIWasAWookiee Jan 22 '24

Wow. That’s it, I am coming over.

It’s lovely. But I want my own lake.

17

u/SuspiciousRelation43 Jan 21 '24

Man, I thought this post was unrealistic. Maybe you should aim for just a pond starting out?

u/Uffufunuff Jan 22 '24

Can you change letters through post box with Keanu Reeves?

4

u/raejayee Jan 21 '24

Looks like the lake my parents live on in MI. Beautiful!!

5

u/johnmondo Jan 22 '24

Oh the weed I’d smoke on that fuckin property!

2

u/mollybones Jan 21 '24

Looks great, but, is it swimmable and how bad are the mozzies?

5

u/Luciano1m Jan 21 '24

Healthy spring fed lake

2

u/DommeForSlave Jan 21 '24

Is it one of those floating docks I've heard about? And if so, how does it work? Little cables that keep it from floating too far?

3

u/Luciano1m Jan 21 '24

They remove it in the winter and in the spring put it back like a puzzle.

7

u/DommeForSlave Jan 21 '24

Nice! Beautiful place. The cats make it extra cozy.

2

u/Flywolf25 Jan 22 '24

Beautiful. That’s not a swimming lake though. Looks amazing

2

u/Far_Earth_1179 Jan 22 '24

I'm so glad you got more deck furniture and a rug as the pictures went along. I felt bad for those two chairs, all alone on that big deck.

2

u/CurryGoatNRoti Jan 22 '24

More pics of the cat please

2

u/sundayriley222 Jan 22 '24

The jealousy I feel is all consuming

u/Luciano1m Jan 22 '24

Sorry about the flag. I’m going to fix that. My bad. I did not mean any disrespect. Love 🇺🇸

6

u/Luciano1m Jan 21 '24

Love it.

-2

u/ddiere Jan 22 '24

You guys really do just hang flags wherever the fuck?

-8

u/GeneralPatten Jan 22 '24

That’s not a lake. Thats a pond. Appears to be a man-made farmers pond too.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '24

1

u/MamaBear4485 Jan 22 '24

I tried very hard not to be jellie, and failed woefully. Gorgeous spot OP!

1

u/BalthazarBulldozer Jan 22 '24

What is the insect/snake situation like?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '24

Love it

1

u/prestige_worldwide70 Jan 22 '24

I don’t think I’ve ever thought “I love that dock” but I love that dock. The lighting and greenery in the water is something else!

1

u/_Crazy_Asian_ Jan 22 '24

Since I live in a very busy city, I don't understand much about people living so remote, like how do you do daily commute, what are the activities for the weekend, etc

1

u/nolisp3 Jan 22 '24

Lake quinsig?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '24

Wtf does your dock just end before land? That really bothers me

1

u/StopKey8926 Jan 23 '24

Oh wow! That's a wonderful place!

If I ever have kids I'd like them to grow in a place like this.
