I think there is a reddit page for insects. Maybe post it there.

I'm not able to identify it, but I'm pretty sure it's a moth! 🤔

Nah, it does be a silver fish. See them all the time under tiles and slates. But that's because my dad and brother are builders labourers

Cant find any that look the same as this? 🤣 Nor does the internet even claim grasshoppers are legless

im only guessing here, but one of your chickens might have helped for the legs to be missing

We have silkies in the run, thats where i found whatever it is. And they would have devoured it tbf 🤣 but its a possibility

Hmm not a chicken

Hmm well done 👏 read the caption and youll find that i was letting my chickens out and found it. Therefore i wondered because it was so close to them, does it have an impact on my birds?

I was just answering that it's not a chicken. If you think it may harm your chicken, put it in a box and toss it away?

I was asking what it was… no finite reason to throw it away when it could even benefit the area they live in

In the same way it could actually be harmful to the environment (remember to destroy apple snail eggs). I have no clue what it is, I know it's not a lot of stuff chicken among them

I wont destroy apple snail eggs because they are still animals. No matter how invasive they can be, put them in a bucket and place them elsewhere. But never even seen one so thats just a matter of “when it happens, it happens”

Apple snails are invasive species that carry parasites. Destroying them aids the local ecosystem and the animals living in it

As do the mosquitoes around my pond, and the rats that come in for food etc. i have never seen any before but if i come across any i dont wish to harm them 🤷
