You really don't want Edwards or Priebe. God bless him, but he has no vision whatsoever.

Meh, I think if you take him late and use him mostly as a receiver out of the backfield he could be pretty useful.

There's next to no shot he is drafted. I wouldn't be surprised for him to get an offer afterwards though.

I don't know, I think if he runs well at the combine/pro day, some team might take a look at how poorly the Michigan Oline played this year, and decide to take a late round flyer. Regardless, the point is as long as you aren't spending a premium pick on him, whether using a late rounder or UDFA, you might be able to get some value there if you use him correctly in the right system. Like I'd never pick him for the Chargers man blocking scheme, but for an outside zone type team? Maybe.

he lowkey sucked last year and the year before that when michigan had amazing lines though

He averaged 7.1 yards a carry in 2022, he most distinctly did not suck. After Corum went down he put up 22 for 216 against OSU, 25 for 185 against Purdue, and 23 for 119 against TCU, plus 16 for 173 against PSU and 15 for 109 against Rutgers. He was excellent in 2022. He definitely regressed in 2023. The two big issues for Edwards are setting u0 blocks/lack of vision, and inability to run through contact. But some team is going to look at those big games, see the speed, see the receiving ability, and give him a shot. Just don't do it until like round 6 or later.

did you watch those games or are you only looking at stats?

I absolutely watch every michigan game and study players as a bit of a big 10 draftnik (literally never trust my opinion on quarterbacks, I've realized). Which is why I wouldn't bring up the national championship game as a good game for him. Edwards was electric in 2022 as a runner and receiver. He did subtle things like varying speeds to change angles and generally hit the gaps that were there. And he was a fantastic receiver. What he was not and is not is a guy like Corum that is going to show one gap then hop a whole gap over to make a linebacker wrong, and outside of Purdue he's never shown an ability to break tackles or get the tough yards.
His last two seasons he looked like he couldn't see a gap to save his life, but the speed was still evident in 2023. The point is not that Edwards is going to be or should be an early pick, and I don't think he'll be a particularly good pro. But I do think a team will see some value there, and IF he goes to the right team who uses him in the right way, he could potentially add some value as a late round pick or UDFA.

My dumbass thought you were drafting Parker as our next OC and got excited that Roman would be gone 😂

Feels like Loveland to the Chargers is inevitable at this point. It's too perfect:
TE1 for most people in the draft so far
TE is one of our biggest needs
Michigan/Harbaugh player
Positional value will probably make him drop to the 20s, where we will most likely wind up picking

Too early this year. We gotta play the ravens in a rematch game wild card weekend. Then on to the bills. Then chiefs. Then the Superbowl.

This is strong through the first three rounds and it goes all over the place afterwards. BTW, Mike Green is a consensus 2nd-3rd rounder, he ain’t dropping that far down. That’s not your fault, I’m not sure why he’s that far down the list on this sim.
I’m really firm on who ‘my guys’ are for picks 86 and later. I’m not going to launch into some lengthy tirade about it unprompted. If you want to talk draft though, let me know and I’ll post my list later this evening.

Walker is getting a rep that he’s lazy and it’s only some high end reps getting him moved up, but the more people look at him he will slide down boards because of his down to down play. Brailsford already said he is returning. Green is a late 1st early 2nd prospect at this point so he won’t be there. I like the positions you went after, but I think those exact guys aren’t it.
