It occurred to me that often I paint Buddha, when i feel stressed/overwhelmed, those sort of emotions & today was no different , I have been too distracted & in a loop of thoughts. So Painting this Buddha felt like my own meditation.

In case someone points this out I know this is a Guanyin statue not Buddha haha. I was actually hiding my practice to my partner for a while because I was affraid to scare him (he has a few family members lost to a new age meditation/spiritual cult) so having a shrine for the first time is emotional to me! He said he loved the look of it !

My uni offers 3d printing for students, so I'm adorning my altar with figurines that I'm finding for free on the Internet. Pictured is Shakyamuni Buddha and Avalokiteshvara. I've got Amitabha Buddha and Mahasthamaprapta on the way!
