I left twitter to escape this garbage. Now I see right wing propaganda occasionally appear in my feed. There isn’t a way to filter out right wing specific content, so I find myself having to block each individual user which is cumbersome. Is there a better way?

Also - why aren’t some of these people banned? They are promoting hate, greed and bigotry which is against our TOS.

I belong to a couple prepper sites on FB and would like to start one on Bluesky as apparently no one has started one there yet. Does anyone know how to start a list or group?

Beginner question — What is the purpose when people reply with just a pushpin 📌?

Is it just for their own personal use (maybe they can search in their own replies?)

Or is it being “found” by other services? Like getting added to a feed? And what might those be?

Or something else?

I like the platform, but don’t know what to say.

Say, you guys were right, I was supposed to do that then I found was fail.

I'm going to start my projects then I was complete in real life and then buy the stuff for work, this is going to be great for me. Also I was take for day to think should I delete or not (sorry for took the days).

This is why I love Bluesky, if a list is found to be abusive they will hide it from view and being seen. I was concerned about the language in my list so went ahead and changed the name to avoid a potential issue.

It’s certainly better than twitter for not showing me street fights, dog whistle racism or Elon staring at his navel all day.

But one thing I find super annoying is all the ‘blue army’ or ‘save the country from trump’ keyboard warriors.

My politics are progressive but I’ve never had interest in anyone’s half cooked opinions, no matter what side they’re on.

I’ve done a lot of “show less” but they still show up in my feed.

I’d be happy to see interesting opinions or articles about progressive politics but I’d really like this low grade content off my feed.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Also do others find their algo feed in a similar state?

When a link is posted to BlueSky, it appears that the OpenGraph data fetched is cached. Is there a way to force a refresh so that a subsequent post of the same URL uses the updated OpenGraph data?

I don't know if this breaks the rules, but I want to use the "sexually explicit (cartoon)" label for a couple drawings I made, but for some reason it's not listed on the content warning labels list for me. I've gone to the moderation settings many times and I've come up empty-handed. Is there something that I'm not seeing?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I discovered this by accident. A post I pasted in had exactly 300 characters. The URL had 31 so I was getting ready to cut and paste the URL into a threaded multi post. Yet upon cutting the URL the SEO data, image and clickable link all stayed there!

On Twitter if you remove the URL there is no link left in the post to click on. I have heard that there is some feature that lets you abbreviate a link to get the character count down. That is good if the link doesn't have much SEO data but in my case where all of that is there why not just get rid of the long URL completely?

In the first few days it has been hard to find something wrong with the service.

What I miss most about Twitter, fast news, many people weighing in -- for example, when a poll came out consult posts by poll pundits to find out if it's a good poll, biased, etc. Bluesky is not there yet.

Is there a feed that has x/twitter posts without logging in for those occasional times I need the fire hose?

So when I watch a video on Bluesky, on its thread, it seems fine. But when I put it on fullscreen mode, (like, when I tap on it to get a bigger size of it) the app closes. And I end up on my phone's homepage. Like, what's going on?

Are we able to put videos or gifs on BlueSky yet? It will let me add a gif but it's just the first frame and won't animate. Is this coming soon or is there another way to embed motion content?
