Misogyny Unhinged misogynistic rant. The more you read, the worse it gets.
Context: this is from a discussion thread for a tv show called From. OP is referencing a few characters.
In the show, Fatima, a pregnant woman with a demon growing inside her kills a woman in panic and goes into hiding. She is found by Elgin who kidnaps her and hides her from the rest of the community, who is looking for her because they assume she was taken by whoever killed the woman. Anyway, Fatima’s husband knows Elgin is lying and there’s a confrontation that ultimately leads to Sarah, a woman who was convinced by voices in her head to kill a boy but ended up unintentionally killing her brother instead, taking Elgin’s eye because he refuses to give up Fatima’s location. Sarah gets the information and they all rush to go get her out of her birthing dungeon.
As for the alcoholic father that OP is rushing to defend, the alcoholic in question is trapped in a town where demons come out at night and kill people. They’ve all been told to secure their residences. The man neglected his duty and instead ran off to the town bar to drown his sorrows, leaving his wife and ~8yo daughter to fend for themselves in a place where demons literally target children to kill them. But the woman had two hands so I guess she could just do everything by herself.
