How common are subway shoulder checks?

I've never been shoulder checked or shoved by men but I have had assholes who would randomly just scream in my face as they walked past me.

It was always a man that did this.

Now I walk with pepper spray clearly in hand and funnily enough, no one screams in my face anymore.
