There are fair criticisms to be made of how much money it costs to run a presidential campaign. The American campaign system takes far too long and is far too costly. It's gross, in fact. However, this really is grasping at straws. I also hope that this isn't coming from someone who's more inclined to vote for a self-professed billionaire real estate developer and all-around con man.

I don’t think anyone in public office should have enough expendable income for stuff like that. Them having f you money puts them further out of reach from the people they are supposed to be serving. The amount spent on campaigns is insane.
