I think sometimes people lie when they take these polls. They might lie about ethnicity or who they are voting for. Also, who is answering unsolicited calls/texts/emails? These numbers don’t really reflect the actual population just people who are willing to answer polls.

I'd argue it would be much more higher. One of the reasons most establishment media was surprised by both Trumps and Brexit wins in 2016 was that they only listened to voices they wanted to hear. There are two types of Trump supporters, as Kelley Ann Conwey said, one which are the nutters we see with flags on their cars and red caps on their heads, and the other ones who are more quiet about their support. Which is why it wasn't surprising to see that white women overwhelmingly voted for Trump in both elections. I dont think black/BAME will vote that highly for Trump, but I dont trust the 'women' numbers. White women are a lot more republican leaning than they would like to admit
