There seem to be quite a few candidates (Whitmer, Shapiro, Newsom) that have the experience and energy to beat Trump. I think we’ll be pretty excited to see someone who’s not a walking corpse speak about politics.

I’m trying to have this energy here. I appreciate you voicing it. I wasn’t as alarmed as many after Bidens’s debate performance, and I worried about having him drop out so close to the democratic convention. But honestly, a month is a long time. We have time to figure this out before the official nomination. And then November is long enough away for this person to make a strong case.

I had mixed feelings about Biden dropping out. But now that it has occurred I’m trying to stay positive

A month is definitely a long time. And since Biden has been national news for a while now, the Democrats have probably been figuring out a new direction since before that.

Enough is the answer. There are enough to make a difference unfortunately. All you need is about 50k votes in key swing states to win.

There’s got to be a Venn diagram of people who are racist in their heart but also recognize Trump is very bad news. It’s a small ass sliver but in 395m people there’s bound to be a few that fit.

There certainly is. I vividly remember one such person who proudly voted for Trump, but her husband got deported and she mentioned she didnt realize the ramifications were real so she’d never vote for him again.

A lot of racists wouldn’t vote for the Democrats in the first place. Kamala Harris history with the Police department would be out of principle for a lot of anti police violence youngsters who may choose to not vote

I like Shapiro and Whitmer but I don't see how you get past Harris to get to them. The candidate I would love to see is Wes Moore. Intelligent, proven political skills, and most importantly authentic. Not going to happen but I didn't think they would get rid of Biden either.

I mean, you can be excited all you want, but Trump wins the presidency now 100%. There is 0 chance of this working out for the Dems. I can't actually think of a worse move to make.
