Afrolicious ☺️💃🏿
Cute bathroom selfie! 2 years ago I told myself I wanted to get comfortable with my natural hair (no stretching, no braid/twist outs). I hate the idea of missing out on things/experiences because “my hair isn’t did”. It’s so freeing 🥰

Black Hair in Art
This year has been a lot for me, I’ve been going through it emotionally for the past year but got through making my coloring book about Black Hair which was one of my goals for the year!
What was your favorite thing you did this year?

I got no style
Pretty self explanatory title. I’m a 15 y/o 11th grader so I’m tryna get a date for prom soon. I have never cared much for dating till now since I use to be really introverted. Anyway the point is though I don’t look all that bad, but I feel kinda like I lack style and look lame. So I need a hairstyle that’ll look good at me. My mom normally shaves me and my brothers bald without remorse. The 3rd picture is the one time I went to an actual barber and that’s why I really want a nice hairstyle. But I know nothing about my own black hair. Help me please.

No hair
I’m so happy after weeks of contemplating I finally shaved my head🥹 I was so sick and tired of my hair. I dyed it so many times I don’t even know what colour it was and plus it was hella damaged. So here’s to the new year and healthy hair!😁

Update: I think they look better now. Should I get a haircut with it? (Excuse my dancing I was feeling myself😂)

Aunt detangled my hair perfectly after months of knots and gave me 20 rows
Did not know my hair grew that much from looking so knotted snd me not taking care of them. Was honestly going to cut all my hair LOL

What kind of haircut + beard style would help me look better? (So have a nice bald spot on the top)
I have a hair appointment next Monday and deciding what haircut works best for me - I put some different photos to help get a look at what I have tried and normally get. Plus one photo to give an idea about my bald spot.
1st photo is current.
Let me know your recommendations (and yes...I guess memes are welcome)!

Is my hair long enough for decent looking two strand twists?
Been growing my hair pretty much since Covid (I get it trimmed a bit). Would like to try twists but don’t like the look when they look like little caterpillars lol. Also not sure how it would look with my fade? Just would like some input! Thanks!

Wore braids my entire postpartum and now my sides are GONE
Hi everyone
I’m super new here but I just came across a photo of myself that is making me have to face the music: my hair and hairline need some TLC.
I am 10 months postpartum and have worn braids the entire time because I haven’t been able to balance a new hairstyle + motherhood and my budget has me doing my own hair. So your girl got into a cycle of doing her own braids.
wearing braids for so long has led to some thinning in addition to breakage from postpartum. Im lowkey scared to take my hair own because I don’t know what I’ll find. However I can see my sides need some serious love. What are a few recommendations- product wise, or technique wise— that I can adopt to help out my thinning hair?

BALD / THINNING SPOT(S) ON MY HAIR 15M
hey everyone, if you’re seeing this, please help me.
in february 2024, i started noticing thinning, almost bald on the top of the crown section of my hair. when i visited a doctor, he told me stop sleeping on the back of my head. i accepted this answer 🤦🏾♂️ i probably had about 4-5 inches of length back then. after hearing this, i cut it to less than an inch, and the hair on my crown grew back, along with the rest of my hair.
fast forward to today… december 2024. my hair was growing like grass, i was doing fine until thanksgiving, november 2024. i started noticing my right side thinning, becoming lower in the back of my hair. now, the spot grown bigger and the thinning is evident. still, the left side was fine in november. now, the right side of the back of my head is going through a similar thing, the spot is just smaller. im visiting a doctor tomorrow, and hopefully they redirect me to a dermatologist. my hair is about 4 inches at the moment.
why does this start happening in different spots when my hair gets to a certain length? is there something im doing wrong? i drink a lot of water as a student athlete, my diet is fairly normal. am i not getting enough vitamins/nutrients? is it alopecia?
this is affecting my social life and my mental health badly. im not sure what to do. im at the lowest point ive ever been in my life right now, and im even considering skipping school. i dont want to cut it like i did once before. do i have to? please lmk (i’ll attach photos below)
first is right side, second is left side.

I have a black step daughter and i have a question
I have a black step daughter and she’s 6 yo. I do her hair but then it feels like it dries up fast and it causes her to get flakes and her hair itchy. What should I do to keep it moisturized.
These are the products I use: 1. Cantu Kids Leave in Conditioner 2. Dove Kids Curl Cream 3. Difeel Jamaican Black Castor Oil 4. Lusters Pink Hair Lotion
Or tell me how i can use it in order.. im also planning to add these and redo my routine:
Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil LIC and the Manuka Honey Conditioner when I wash her hair.
We also have the curl peace 5in 1 wonder spray. Give me a routine or how to do it and tips please.. im genuinely asking.
Lastly, Do you also put products over products lets say when it dries.

How do I get my 4c hair to be less frizzy?
Trying to grow out my hair after having it cut low for a long time and after a few months it has become a hella frizzy. I wear a durag and have satin pillowcases to try to prevent frizz. My hair also falls out very easily, don't know if that's normal or not.
