What do priority, pressure, and organic targets mean

Priority = boycott at all cost.

Pressure = protests and go wild on them because they are typically so ingrained in our daily life.

Organic = boycott co-opted by the BDS movement that started by the people or initiated by external orgs. Join the boycott if you can.

Edit: was brainfogged when writing about organic boycott

to be clear, organic boycott means that there was an organic grassroots movement to boycott it from everyday people (instead of bds the org calling for it) and bds is stating their support for it. basically amplifying grassroots boycotts.

has nothing really to do with food or anything like that.

Crap ok i should change that. Shouldnt have typed those when im tired and brainfogged

you're all good! but yeah that's how a lot of the organic boycotts came to be, iirc from the start of the genocide

That's not what organic means in this context. It means the move to boycott arose organically, ie from the bottom up. People decided to boycott these companies and BDS is supporting it

i do not work for bds in any way but i know they have these things implemented for reason. you can boycott much more, but bds has it targeted for a reason (which btw there are more that just aren't in the graphic, such as ikea). whatever you do just don't let this idea you're presenting as a reason to not boycott what bds asks. i've been following bds actively since 2021, things change and they will put out a statement as to why.

I cut Amazon off. However Google is still a problem for me.

However I started using Brave browser. On desktop and on my phone. It automatically blocks all Google ads. So they don't get any revenue.

Few times messages have popped up while watching YouTube video. Where Google says this kind of ad blocking is bad for their business. There was even a crash report button. So I sent them a little message.

I have the opposite problem. I largely got rid of Google many years ago (use duckduckgo for search among others, apple phone, left gmail, librefox/brave and other browsers)

but Amazon...

I am having trouble finding an alternative that is comparable.

I suppose the only solution is to buy your stuff from a few dozen stores than try to look for 1 mega online store that basically sells everything like Amazon?

Firefox is the best option for blocking off Google as much as possible. But brave is a really good step forward.

Thing is, Mozilla is around 80% funded by Google to make Google the default search engine in Firefox

Google have no choice but to fund them or else they'd have to pay way more due to anti-monopoly laws. If they didn't pay them Firefox would cease to exist and google would be considered a monopoly.

Edit: the reason this would happen is that every browser (even brave) is based off of chromium, which is the skeleton of chrome. Except firefox, making it the only google independent browser (apart from the default search engine.)

There is stuff like Librefox. Also based on chrome (and has a crypto currency-but I dont have to use it) but I find Brave Browser great (with Anti-Ad included)

If any watch fan is reading, please do not buy Marathon watches. They literally make military watches for the IDF: https://www.marathonwatch.com/collections/idf-yamam-editions/products/idf-yamam-jumbo-day-date-automatic-jdd-with-stainless-steel-bracelet-46mm

ya take down big oil!

Targeting Google and Amazon but not Apple? Apple matches employee donations to the Israeli Military.

Wix in my opinion deserves to be in the priority boycott, it's an Israeli company that's actively silencing its employees that are anti-genocide.

I'm happy that Disney was finally added to the boycott list.

We need to laser focus on 3 companies. These are way too many.

Hey so I saw Siemens and I don’t get the boycott. They aren’t powering or connecting illegal settlements they are connecting Asia/Cyprus/Europe power grid so they can buy and sell power. The two cities they are building in Alvon Tavor and Ramsay Gabriel aren’t in any occupied or contested land.
